Spring Training 2011: Rockies vs. D Backs

At the end of February the Malley's came to visit us. Skyler is a die hard baseball fan and LOVES the Rockies. It just so happens that their spring training is here. So they came and stayed for 4 days. It was a blast!

They got here on Friday the 25th. That night we went to a mall and had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. We wanted to go shopping and thought the kids would like it. Anyway it turns out Madison Hated it!! The thunder scared her!!! The food wasn't great either but it was fun to be together. After we started down the mall and came to Old Navy so the girls went in and shopped and boys hung out outside. When we came out the kids wanted to play on the toys so we let them play for a little bit. It was cute to watch them get excited about riding. Notice Maddux wearing his Superman shirt. He LOVES superman and will pose and say Sup. It is really cute!! Afterwards the boys went home and gamed while we shopped a while longer. It was so fun to have Ally to hang out with and shop with!

Saturday was game day so we got ready for the game and left Madi with Toni because it was nap time. We went early so the boys could get autographs and check out the stadium. It was Diamond Backs vs. Rockies both Calvin and Skyler's teams. It was a fun game and the Rockies ended up winning in extra innings. That night we played games and watched a movie.

Monday we got up and went to the zoo before they had to fly out. It was a fun trip. The kids enjoyed it. Madi kind of got tired of it towards the end. It was cute when we went to the Lions Madi would say "Roar". After the zoo we went home and ate pizza and relaxed a bit before the Malley's left. It was so much fun! We hope they visit again :)

So Smart!

Madison is so smart! I am amazed at all the things that she absorbs and takes in. Today we made oatmeal for breakfast and I was getting the milk out of the fridge when I said "ok Madi we need to get you a bib before you can eat." So she goes into her bedroom and opens the drawer that has bibs and pulls one out. This dresser has a lot of drawers (like 11) Anyway this particular drawer is at the top of her head. I have no idea how she knew it was that one other than just paying close attention. This is only one of many stories about her smartness. She is saying a lot of fun words right now and as a parent I love it! A few of her favorites are: Oh No, GO Go, I don't know, Ya, No, Wow, Pizza, Please, and Gabi(her cousins name). She can say more than that but those I hear several times a day. It is so fun to watch her learn and grow. She makes me laugh daily.
