We just had a fun trip to California with Calvin's mom Toni and his sister Andi and her husband Aaron. We flew to Phoenix Sat and that night we went to a diamondbacks game. Madi was tired and didn't do great so Calvin sat in the foyer area with her while she slept and watched the game on the tv. It wasn't a great game anyway so he didn't miss too much. We left for California Monday at 3:00 A.M. and drove so that we could get there when Disneyland opened. Calvin had a job interview along the way so we stopped for that. It went well and he was set up for an in person interview friday. We got to Cali and checked into our hotel (which was across the street from Disneyland) and walked over. We decided to go to California adventure first. We had a blast! Grandma was so nice to watch Madi for us so that we got to ride all the rides. I offered for her to ride but she was enjoying Madi and wanted to let us go. Later that evening we had ridden all the rides we wanted to at California adventure so we went over to Disneyland and rode a few more rides. It started to get cold and Madison wasn't enjoying being cold and was exhausted(she had done so well all day long) so Grandma took her back to the hotel and let us all stay and enjoy our selves longer. We were all exhausted and decided to go back to the hotel and eat and go to bed. Tuesday we slept in a little, got up and headed for Disneyland again. We decided to go on more rides that Madi and Toni could both go on. Madison did really well on them and fell asleep a couple times but couldn't enjoy it fully. She really liked watching people and seeing everything. She really liked Toon Town and seeing all of the houses and we met mickey mouse and took a pic. We had soo much fun. Wednesday we drove to L.A. to our new hotel and went to Dodger stadium to by 2 more tickets. Then we went to the beach for a little bit to kill some time and let Madi put her toes in the sand. It was too cold to swim. Afterwards we went back to Dodgerstadium for a dodger vs dimondbacks game. It was a good game but very long and cold. The game went to 11 innings and lasted 4 hrs but the Diamondbacks pulled through so we were happy about that.. well most of us, Aaron is a dodger fan. I decided that dodger fans are very loud and proud of there dodger blue. It seemed like everyone at the game had dodger apparel but the 4 of us and maybe 2 other diamondback fans :) I am not sure that i can really call my self a true fan but i cheered for them and really enjoyed the game. Thursday morning we went to breakfast at I Hop and then went swimming at the hotel (Madis first time!)Then we jumped on LA X and headed home. Thanks Toni for such a fun family trip!!
