Madi
Some of you may get tired of me posting about Madi all the time but as a stay at home mom she is a HUGE part of my life and I love it!!
Movie Night at the theater and Father's Day!
Last week Calvin, Toni, Madi and I went to see Kung Foo Panda 2. Calvin loved the first so we thought since its a kids movie and has animals that Madi might enjoy it. This was her first movie in theaters. She did awesome at first and we just let her have snacks and popcorn and she was having fun but then she got tired of sitting and wanted to walk around so Toni and I took turns taking her out. Needless to say we won't be taking her to another movie until she can sit and watch a whole movie at home without getting up and walking around. The movie actually wasn't that great. Calvin and I did go see Cars 2 yesterday and really enjoyed it! Hoping it comes out on DVD before Madi's birthday this summer.. she is so into Cars right now.
As we know last week was also father's day. Calvin and I spoke in church. So Toni came and watched Madi for us and it went well. After church Toni and I cooked a steak(for Calvin) and chicken (for us) dinner with roles, a baked potato, and corn on the Cobb, Calvin enjoyed watching baseball. I got him two pairs of nice shorts and a new swimming suit fro summer. They were much needed and look so nice! His mom also got him and I direct TV for mother's and father's day combined. He is very happy about that because he can watch baseball. Calvin is a great dad and husband and I am so thankful for him each day! Sadly I didn't take any pics :(

A Madison Tidbit...
Madi is so fun and is constantly learning new things. I will share a few funny things she has said or fun things about her:
I was doing homework when Madison came up to me and asked me to play with her. I said that I needed to do homework and couldn't play right then. Right after I ran upstairs and grabbed my phone charger because my phone was dieing. She came up after me saying "not nice mommy. Not nice." =) I love that they call us out on things and tell it like it is. Well I like it for now anyway :)
Madi's first sentance was about a month and a half ago and she would say "I didn't poop".
Along those same lines she went through a phase of saying "poopy" a lot a grabbing her diaper. One time I happened to be in target at the check out and she would not stop saying it. The people around me laughed or smiled. She had a wet diaper so I went and changed her and then she stopped.
Madison is very sensitive and caring about others feelings. If we look sad at all or serious she says okay? to ask if we are okay. If we ask her if she's okay she says "I'm ok". She also doesn't like it if Calvin and I wrestle or hug too tightly. She thinks we are hurting each other even if we say we are just playing. She is a sweet girl!
If there is one thing that Madison has loved since she was a baby it's music. She would love being sung to as a baby. At 9 months old we got the first video of her dancing. She now Loves to dance and sing and it never gets old.
What we've been up to lately...
Here are a few of the rooms that are done or close to done and I will post more later as well. I took pictures of Madis room this week to put up and have already added picture frames above her bed, a mirror, and her bow board since so I'll take pics again when its done. We are doing a lot around the house right now. I have plans to decorate and paint two of our bathrooms, working on my bedroom, putting together my craft/sewing room, putting things together in our loft, and Toni (Calvin's mom) is making curtains for our sliding door and pillows for our family room couches. I don't know what I would do without her! She has been so helpful to us in our move and decorating. For those that don't know we lived with her for nine months. She was so accommodating to us and so loving. Toni we really appreciate all you do for us and are glad we get to see you each week! So as I get more rooms done I will post more pics.
House..

Well this is long overdue.. We bought a house at the end of April and are LOVING it! We moved Madi into a twin bed and she is doing really well in it. She will occasionally come to the door and cry if she doesn't want to go to bed but for the most part she stays in bed. In the morning she plays and just goes to the door and calls mom until I come and get her. We have a great ward and are kind of meeting a few people our age. We'll have a couple over this Friday for a BBQ and games. I'm looking forward to that. We have been decorating, putting in fans, unpacking boxes, etc.. so here are some pics. These are all before moving in and painting.

I feel his Love..

I feel like I really need this post to collect my thoughts. First off I want to say how grateful I am for a loving Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ. They know me better than I know myself and know exactly what I need. I have been stressing out a lot lately and by result of that I have not been my best self and those who I love most have suffered from it. I just moved into our brand new house last Thursday (pics to come). I also started school again last Monday. I have been very stressed about both of these things until right now. Yesterday we went to our new ward for the first time. It was a blessing I had needed. People were very friendly and kind to us. Madison's Nursery leader is awesome and she enjoyed being there. The best part of all for me was Relief Society. I haven't been able to go for quite a few months because I have been in primary which I LOVE. This particular lesson was so spiritual and so much of what I needed. I know that these sisters will be able to help me grow so much. One of the quotes I love from the lesson is "In order to become what you want to be... you have to be what you want to become." There aren't many lessons that I come home still thinking about it throughout the day and into the next day. I have been praying and asking for help as I am trying to become a better person and daughter of God and this lesson had so many answers in it. My burdens were also made lighter as a prayer was answered that I needed to drop one of my classes. I was trying to do too much and I instantly felt the weight be lifted as I dropped the class. I am still taking a couple classes but will have 8 extra hours in my week and a lot more brain power.
